I noticed that in most storybooks, the bad guy always triumph in the beginning, making the poor hero suffer. Then somehow another, the hero will turn to anger and revenge while the bad guy celebrates the victory. By the end of the story, the hero will get his revenge and the bad guy will lose/die/be jailed. That's the common plot. But, what distinguish the authors are the way the story unfolds. Some are extremely typical like Nancy Drew. She and her 2 best friends are like magnet for trouble. They will encounter criminals during their holidays and then, one of them will be kidnapped (usually Nancy). The other 2 friends or Ned (her boyfriend) will rushed to her rescue. The criminal will be jailed and the mystery will be solved. All of those 200 over series of Nancy Drew are like that. Others might be more creative like A Prisoner Of Birth. To escape being jailed, the bad guys framed an innocent fellow for a crime that he did not do. The poor fellow was sentenced to jail for 22 years. But, with his friends' help, he escaped the jail and seeked revenge with the bad guys.
All books are almost the same. Its the story that make all the difference.
