Muahahahaha!!!! I am back from NS for the CNY holidays!!! I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. I supposed you would want to hear about my lovely NS adventures. So, let's not waste any time and i shall start now. :)
NS also known as National Service is a program created by our extremely-clever-government. For some of us, NS is also called 'an ass'. In NS, we were given 3 sets of clothings, two of each type. Firstly, we have some sportswear which is called as 'baju PT'. Next, we have some classwear (some say its the best-looking uniform but for me, it looks horrible) known as 'baju kelas'. Last but not least, we have our very own NS army clothes or more commonly known as 'baju celoreng'. Each set of clothing comes with their very own type of shoes and socks. All in all, we have three types of shoes, three types of socks and three types of uniforms. For, your information, all of the guys' uniform except 'baju celoreng' have lovely short sleeves unlike the girls, we have long sleeves for every type of our uniforms.
Now, i shall give you the rating of hotness wearing those rather troublesome uniforms. Second runner up goes to 'baju PT'. Despite of its long sleeves and its thick material with its rather ugly colour shade of blue and weird-looking black pants with padded cottons on its knees, its considered the best among the three uniform as it traps the least heat. The first runner up goes to the 'baju kelas' aka the sauna uniform (It looks rather like a fractory uniform, with two shades of blue and a black slacks). At a first glance, one would actually think that its cooling wearing them as it looked as if its made from some thin material. All of us, the NS trainees were cheated. The moment we wore them, all surrounding air are cut off from our skin. Honestly, not even a fraction of air could penetrate the uniform! The champion is of course the 'baju celoreng' (some uniform, dark blue in colour with white and green stripes). In reality, the material for the 'baju celoreng' permits more air to enter the uniform then the 'baju kelas' but the problem its that this particular unifrom have too many layers. Firstly, we have to wear an inner shirt, celoreng long pants and long grey socks ( When i say long, i really meant it. The socks are super long). Next, we add a layer of celoreng coat (long sleeved) with its thick black belt. Last but not least, we have to wear big thick heavy black spike boots and a black baret. Hmm, we do have another unifrom known as half-loreng but we only wear those during community service. Half -loreng is wearing the shirt of 'baju PT' with the pants and belt of the 'baju celoreng'.
I hoped i have managed to get your imagination running about the NS clothings. LOL. Anyway, that is all that i will blog for today. Tomorrow, i will be posting about the daily life of an NS trainees.
